Group training

We’ve got some exciting news to share! For the 2021/2022 season we’re launching a brand new group training option for members. This new offering will kick off on Tuesday 23rd August and allow you to train with like-minded people every week of the season through to the end of February.

What do I get?

If you sign up as a Group Training member you’ll be able to join us for a run every Tuesday evening and a bike on Saturday mornings. We’re planning to work in 4-week blocks with a specific training focus in each block. The sessions will ONLY be open to Group Training Members so be sure to sign up early to make the most of your membership!

How will it work?

The sessions will be structured and there will be a range of options and abilities, so they will complement your coaching plans as you build towards your season’s events. Or if you’re more of a social butterfly, we’ll have options for you too!

Workouts will be posted in advance of every session in our group training Facebook group which you can join after signing up, including start time, location, details of the workout including number of intervals and recommended effort. We’ll have volunteers who will know the workouts and lead run and ride groups. 

The runs will usually start at 6pm on Tuesday and the rides at 8am on Saturdays but these could change depending on specific session length and locations (more details on locations below).

How much does it cost?

A Group Training Membership will cost $99 for the ENTIRE YEAR! A bargain if we do say so ourselves. This will be in addition to your $25 annual Club membership fee.

For the first two weeks there is a free trial option so you can try risk free.

Locations and timing

The run sessions will start from Freyberg pool at 6pm and the bike rides from Waitomo on Old Hutt Rd between 730-8am but we do plan on having some variety.
